Where there's a will, there's a way.
While I'm still frantically searching for a fast way to deliver well-wishes in physical form, I am aware of certain postal services and addresses that will get at least a letter to Sho Sakurai. (For those not aware Sho-chan broke his thumb during a concert rehearsal on June 1.)
Therefore, I'm dedicating this entry and its comments completely to those who wish to send their regards and "get well soon" messages to him.
IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING!
Leave your message as a comment to this entry. Please DO NOT write replies or thanks directly to me or this cause, or reply to other entries, or your comment will simply be deleted.
Also, when you post, please finish with your name, age, and your country of origin, eg Rin (23), Australia. Your name doesn't have to be in full, and can even be a nickname or a screen name. I ask you to do this because this is traditional Japanese format and is a part of good manner too. Also, as long as your name, age, and country are included, anonymous posts are allowed (so spread the word to non-lj-user friends too!)
I want to be able to collect your messages, print them and send them as they appear here. From what I know, Sho understands enough English for you to be able to get your message across, and to make certain, I will be writing a head letter in Japanese to inform all parties involved as to exactly what this is about. Anyway, please write in English or Japanese only.
UPDATE (Jun 3): I've decided to have the entries turned into a mini-book that will be bound, and thus making it easier to submit. To help the planning process, the closing date for submissions has be designated as next Monday, June 9.
Write your comments as though you are writing directly to Sho Sakurai. I'm sure he'd love to hear that he has your support too.
UPDATE 2 (Jun 3): There have been a few too many fans who are taking this opportunity to scream out their undying love for Sho and ALL of Arashi. Please don't use this opportunity as a springboard for your feelings. I know you mean well but I'm trying a serious attempt at giving a sick man we all care about a "Get Well Soon" card from all of us. He doesn't need to know how much you love another Arashi member, and it's just plain rude to ask him to pass it on to that other Arashi member. I'm sorry to be so strict but I'll be deleting such unrestrained fangirly bouts. -.-;
In any case, we are all hoping for Sho's fast and healthy recovery.
If you have any comments, questions or concerns for me about this effort, please visit HERE and leave a comment. (This also includes those who wish to check their Japanese entries before posting. I speak fluent Japanese and will help check for anyone who asks. However, I won't be doing full comment translations for anyone. Sorry.)
Thanks,
Rin
